Congress has established the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) program, which is responsible for reviewing Medicare claims to assess if there have been improper payments (underpayments and overpayments) made to Medicare providers (physicians, all provider types, and suppliers).
The RAC program is now being rolled out nationwide and Minnesota is among the first 19 states to be part of this roll-out beginning spring 2009.
The RAC Survival Guide will provide a fundamental understanding of the RAC program and its implications for skilled nursing facilities. More importantly, you will learn the steps necessary to prepare your long-term care facility in advance of a RAC audit. Get the tips and tools you need now to survive the RAC.
This web seminar will address the timing, rules, and procedures of the permanent RAC program, areas of potential focus, how to prepare your facility to survive a RAC audit, and strategies and lessons learned from clients who have undergone RAC audits and how they achieved successful resolution.
